Senson Liquid Malt Light 10 – light liquid malt extract (LME) in a 15 kg container
A container with 15 kg of light liquid malt extract from Senson in Finland. The extract is made from malted barley and contains only malt extract, with no colouring, preservatives or other additives. It suits breweries and homebrewers who use malt extract in larger quantities, for example to raise OG or as part of the malt base.

Frequently asked questions about Senson Liquid Malt Light 10
Does the malt extract contain hops?
No. It contains only malt extract. Hops must be boiled to give bitterness, just as when brewing with malt.
Can I use it to correct a low OG?
Yes. Malt extract is a common way to raise OG. Add it to the kettle and boil for 10–15 minutes.
Does it contain gluten?
Yes. The extract is made from barley, which contains the protein hordein. It has the same allergenic properties as gluten.
How should the malt extract be stored?
Senson recommends storing it unopened at an even temperature below 20 °C. During long storage at warmer temperatures the extract gradually darkens and the flavour changes slightly.
