Description

Lervig Supersonic 25L all-grain beer kit – Double Dry-Hopped DIPA

Lervig Supersonic Double Dry-Hopped DIPA is the result of pure inspiration and a deliberate choice to fully embrace the modern, juicy IPA style. After a trip to Boston, the brewers came home with one clear ambition: to make a Double IPA where freshness, aroma and hop intensity take centre stage. This all-grain kit lets you brew Supersonic at home using the brewery's quality-assured recipe.

The beer is hazy and inviting, and the aroma is packed with tropical fruit. With a full 420 grams of hops – Amarillo, Citra, Enigma and Simcoe – Supersonic delivers a wide range of flavours such as mango, pineapple, passion fruit, citrus and ripe stone fruit.

Despite the huge hop load, the beer is well balanced. The malt base gives good body and a soft mouthfeel that carries the hops without making the beer heavy. The bitterness is controlled and pleasant, so the overall impression is juicy and easy drinking – dangerously easy drinking, given the strength.

We look after the ingredients – so you get the best result

For quality and shelf life, the malt in our beer kits is always stored uncrushed, rather than sitting pre-crushed in stock for months. If you do not already have one, we recommend a malt mill so you have completely fresh ingredients on brew day. Fresh, home-crushed malt gives the best result.
