Protafloc tablets from Murphy & Son are a granulated carrageenan product added to the wort in the kettle. Carrageenan enhances protein precipitation as the wort cools, giving clearer wort and clearer beer. The 2 kg pack is intended for breweries.

How to use Protafloc
- Dosage: 1/2 to 2 tablets per hectolitre
- Add during the last 10 minutes of the boil
- Optimal use is 1–5 g per hectolitre
For homebrewing, Protafloc is also available in a smaller tub of 20 tablets.
