Description
200L Microbrewery Starter Kit
Price as of November 2024 is NOK 327,000 including VAT. The price of components purchased separately is approximately NOK 340,000. Shipping is included in the price.
This starter kit consists of specially selected high-quality components, making it easy to get started and have full control over the entire brewing and fermentation process.
The professional brewing system #Braumeister 200L from Speidel is complemented by two F300 Unitanks from Brewtools, allowing you to ferment, clarify, and carbonate in one and the same tank. For perfect temperature control during fermentation, the Minichilly 17 SB Compatible glycol chiller from Quantor is included. It is powerful enough that you can also expand with 2-3 more tanks later if you want more tanks, without having to purchase a new glycol chiller.
Two Quantor SB Control Kit temperature controllers with submersible pumps are included, and if you want more fermentation tanks later, you only need to purchase more temperature controllers.
Brewing system for 200 liters of beer
The heart of this brewery setup is the Speidel #Braumeister 200L. The machine has a capacity of 42kg of malt, and the large volume yields up to 230 liters of wort for fermentation after boiling, equivalent to approximately 200 liters of finished beer after fermentation. The Braumeister is delivered complete with a tap. Please note that the machine requires 400V.
The brewery includes almost everything you need to get started. You will also need equipment to transfer the beer to bottles, cans, Cornelius kegs, or PolyKeg brewery kegs, depending on your preference. You can also use the Brewtools unitanks to tap the carbonated beer directly from the tank.

Economic example – payback period for brewery investment
To illustrate the profitability of a complete microbrewery kit, we have made a simple calculation based on Norwegian prices and taxes. The figures are intended as an example only – actual results will vary with raw material prices, electricity costs, efficiency, distribution, and other local conditions.
Assumptions
- Investment cost (excl. VAT): NOK 260,000
- Finished volume per batch: 200 liters of beer (equivalent to 400 half-liter bottles/cans)
- Sales price: NOK 100 incl. VAT per 0.5 L
- Alcohol tax (2025): approx. NOK 24.32 per liter
- Production cost (raw materials, electricity, misc.): NOK 15 per liter
Result per batch (200 L)
- Gross turnover: NOK 40,000
- Taxes: approx. NOK 12,864 (NOK 4,864 alcohol tax + NOK 8,000 VAT)
- Net after taxes: NOK 27,136
- Production costs: NOK 3,000
- Net profit: NOK 24,136 per batch
Break-even
With an investment of NOK 260,000 (excl. VAT), approximately 11 batches of 200 liters (a total of approx. 2,200 liters of beer) are required to cover the investment cost, before packaging.
You can tap directly from the unitank, or transfer to bottles, cans, or kegs. If reusable Cornelius kegs are used, it is a one-time cost.
