Description

Belgian Pale Ale extract kit – Traditional Series from Mangrove Jack's

Belgian Pale Ale in Mangrove Jack's Traditional Series is a 1.8 kg extract kit for a strong, Belgian-inspired beer. It has a soft, malty sweetness with hints of toasted bread, biscuit and nuts, balanced by a fruity character with notes of orange and pear, a mild spiciness and a light citrus freshness.

The extract kits in the Traditional Series contain liquid malt extract, dry yeast and, where applicable, dry hops. Priming sugar is not included.

To brew Belgian Pale Ale you also need liquid malt extract to reach the intended alcohol content. Malt extract gives the beer better flavour, body and mouthfeel than adding sugar or dextrose.

Frequently asked questions about the Belgian Pale Ale extract kit

What else do I need?

You need liquid malt extract to reach the intended alcohol content, plus sugar or carbonation drops for priming.

How much beer does the kit make?

The kit makes approx. 10 litres of beer at approx. 9%.

Is yeast included?

Yes. Dry yeast is included in the kit.

Can I use sugar instead of malt extract?

Malt extract is recommended. It gives better flavour, body and mouthfeel than sugar or dextrose, which only add alcohol.

What is the difference between an extract kit and a Fresh Wort Kit?

An extract kit is mixed with water. A Fresh Wort Kit is 20 litres of ready-brewed, water-adjusted wort from a professional brewery. It is simpler and quicker, and the beer turns out much better. If you are considering an extract kit, try a Fresh Wort Kit instead.
