Saniclean – low-foaming sanitizer for soaking and CIP
Saniclean is an acid-based, low-foaming sanitizer from Five Star Chemicals for sanitizing bottles, kegs, tanks and other brewing equipment. It is used in the same way as Star San, but foams less and has a longer contact time. This makes Saniclean well suited to soaking and CIP cleaning, where pumps and spray balls would otherwise create a lot of foam.
How to use Saniclean
- Clean the equipment first, for example with PBW. A sanitizer sanitizes but does not remove dirt.
- Mix Saniclean with water according to the directions on the bottle.
- Make sure all surfaces are covered and leave the solution for 2–3 minutes.
